Community Engagement
At Emera Newfoundland & Labrador, we’re focused on being the best source of information for the construction and operation of the Maritime Link.
We began our community engagement efforts in the spring of 2011 and have consulted with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, residents,
landowners, commercial fish harvesters, industry, the business community, guide outfitters, hunters, anglers, special-interest groups and the general public.
The types of community engagement opportunities we have provided include:
- one-on-one meetings
- technical workshops
- supplier sessions
- public-information sessions
- presentations to industry groups
We’ll continue to meet with stakeholders who have an interest in, and questions about the operation
